At Mabynow, our purpose is to bridge the gap between hunger and well-being by delivering consistent access to nourishing meals for vulnerable populations.
We believe that food is more than sustenance—it’s a foundation for dignity, hope, and the ability to thrive.
By serving daycares, adult daycares, DV shelters, homeless shelters, and community organizations, we work to ensure that every plate we serve uplifts the body and spirit.
Our mission is to provide access to balanced, nutrient-rich meals that nourish both mind and body, empowering individuals from all backgrounds to thrive and reach their full potential.
To nourish individuals in need with hearty, nutritious meals that foster positive mindsets and support overall well-being.
We believe that by feeding the body, we help uplift the spirit—promoting better health, one meal at a time.

At Mabynow, we believe no one should go without a healthy meal. Our mission is simple: to deliver nutritious and reliable food that supports both body and mind.
We partner with federal, state, and local programs, as well as community organizations, to ensure children, seniors, and vulnerable families have consistent access to meals they can count on. By combining resources with compassion, we make sure food is available where it’s needed most.
As a nonprofit, we are dedicated to reducing hunger, improving health, and strengthening communities—one meal, one family, one day at a time.

Latesia Horton is the Co-Founder of Making a Better You, a community-based food program dedicated to promoting healthy living through education, nutrition, and empowerment. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, I combine my passion for wellness with my strong business acumen to help individuals and families make lasting lifestyle changes through nutritious food choices.
As a proud graduate of Tennessee State University, I earned my bachelor’s degree before launching a successful career as the owner and operator of a well-established logistics business. My entrepreneurial background has strengthened my leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills—qualities I now bring to my work in community health and outreach.
Driven by a belief that healthy eating is the foundation of a better life, I am passionate about equipping communities with the knowledge and resources to make informed food choices. Through Making a Better You, I work to create programs that nourish both body and spirit, inspiring individuals to take practical steps toward wellness.
Outside of my professional commitments, I enjoy hands-on projects and home repairs. Whether it’s replacing a doorknob or remodeling a bathroom, I find great satisfaction in seeing my hard work come to life; a reflection of my belief in building, improving, and transforming things for the better.

Laterio Jackson is a devoted mother, loving “momtie” to her two nephews, and a passionate advocate for building stronger, healthier communities. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and earned her Master of Arts in Leadership and Public Service from Lipscomb University. As a single mother, she understands the challenges families face and has always been driven by a desire to give back and create lasting impact.
Professionally, Laterio serves as the Director of Operations at Johnson Capital Planning and Director of Planning and Operations at Wilson Wealth Management, where she leads firm-wide systems, compliance, and strategic initiatives. In addition, she serves on several nonprofit boards, lending her skills in planning, governance, and community engagement. Her journey has been shaped by resilience. As a survivor of sexual assault and domestic violence, Laterio describes herself as a “rising phoenix”—someone who has endured hardship yet continues to rise with strength, compassion, and purpose. These experiences fuel her mission to uplift others and ensure that no one feels alone in their struggles.
In 2025, Laterio and her close friend Latesia co-founded MABYnow (Making A Better You) to address food disparities in local communities. Together, they answered the call to action, creating a nonprofit that provides nutritious meals to daycares, adult daycares, shelters, and underserved families.
Through MABYnow, Laterio brings her heart for service, her leadership skills, and her belief in community healing to life. At her core, Laterio is guided by family, love, and the belief that even small acts of service can spark lasting change.
